After exactly 5 years to the day, (5th November 2008) since I first visted Nairobi with the idea of setting up some form of a charity, we ar enow only 5 days from opening our first eye testing clinic, based in1B9, Magharibi Place, Nairobi. The clinic will offer eye testing and low cost glasses. We will also start and outreach eye testing program that will visit schools both in Nairobi and in Maragua district and conduct eye tests for school children and provide them with free glasses and eye health medicines if required.
Although the last 5 years have been both challenging and sometimes time consuming, it has also been very rewarding. Lets see what the next 5 years brings.....
